i thinks its a great idea that a big screen is going to be installed at the herbert art gallery, for the football Olympics i was just wondering if this is going to be financed privately or by hard pressed council tax payers? i would appreciate your comments. thanks David.

    • Hi David,

      Thanks for your comment.
I think perhaps there is some confusion about the screen. According to Coventry City Council, there will be a video screen installed in Coventry, but it will be at the Transport Museum in Millennium Square.
The Council website states, “And later this year people will see a huge outdoor video screen being built into the wall of the Transport Museum in Millennium Square. Provided and financed by Locog (the organising group for the 2012 London Olympics) the screen will broadcast live cultural sporting events in the run-up to the 2012 Games as well as the Games themselves.”
You can read more about Coventry and the Olympics on the Council’s website.
      I hope that’s helpful!
